My commitment to environmental responsibility is at the heart of my jewelry practice. The majority of the gemstones I use are reclaimed from vintage jewelry, ensuring their continued life and beauty. When I do source new stones, I only select ethical, responsible, and traceable dealers. During my travels across the western United States, I seek out gemstones from local lapidary artists and miners, fostering direct relationships. Every other year, I attend the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show to connect with miners and lapidary artists. I also purchase from a carefully selected group of Fairtrade dealers online.
